Course Outlines<\/span><\/h1>\n

The principal objective of the course is to teach participants how pressure data relate to the safe and efficient exploration and exploitation of petroleum reservoirs. The course teaches participants:
\n\u2022 Pore pressure estimation \u2013 methods and limitations.
\n\u2022 Recognition of abnormal pressures and principal causes
\n\u2022 Influence of abnormal pressures on trap integrity, sealing efficiency for HPHT wells, reservoir quality and maturation\/migration efficiency in petroleum systems.<\/p>\n

The course is a mixture of short lectures, with sample exercises and \u201chands on\u201d with pressure data and case studies. Material for the course will include many of the classic overpressure area such as Levant Basin, Nile Cone and Red Sea.<\/p>\n

Session 3

First day will be held at the Holiday Inn Maadi Hotel, in Cairo. The participants will fly the next day to Hurghada. The course will be continued in Hurghada.<\/p>\n

INSTRUCTOR PROFILE<\/span><\/h1>\n

Steve is a GeoPressure domain expert who has also been involved in many 100\u2019s of projects globally, ranging from basinal studies and exploration risking to well planning\/design and field assessments. He has extensive experience in SE Asia.<\/p>\n

He has been involved in knowledge transfer and has taught more than 70 courses including bespoke courses for companies focused on integrating G&G, asset and drilling teams.<\/p>\n

He has been instrumental in developing \u201cBest Practice\u201d workflows, has been involved in R&D to help reduce uncertainty in pore pressure prediction, and has integrated pore pressure with other disciplines such as rock physics and geomechanics.<\/p>\n

He has written and been co-author on over 50 published papers.<\/p>\n
