Cyclo-Chrono Stratigraphy uses unique mathematical algorithms and signal processing techniques for the transformation of wireline logs. It greatly improves the resolution of stratigraphic correlation as a result of processing of log data, which can extract trends and patterns that remain hidden in untreated data. Understanding the principles behind stratigraphic cyclicity, spectral analysis functions can lead to a near-synchronous correlation based only on standard log data. The data is calibrated using biostratigraphic age dating and applied to wells with no or missing Chrono/Biostratigraphic data.
